I wanted to give some feedback as to my results from taking the Tax Protest Class recently.
Girlfriend's home went up $14,000 in appraised value.
She was able to file protest after 5/31 due to mailing.
I helped her with getting comps and explaining what to look for as per the class.
Told her about how to dress, trying to get the person behind the counter to lower the amount and waiting until after 5/31 to go visit. All from the class which I did not know.
Results: This morning she walked into an empty office (Denton County Appraisal Office), spoke to the lady behind the counter and not only removed the $14,000 appraisal increase, but got her appraised value REDUCED $2,000.
