https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/206476093-Enabling-breakout-rooms
Administrator's have an ability to create breakout roms. It appears during the meeting on the bottom of your screen as "breakout rooms". Administrator's can also create "Co" administrations (ie club sponsors)
If you are a host or co host, you can hop between different breakout rooms. So it may make sense to split rooms up automatically, not manually. Then have co hosts rotate around.
One thing to note.... everyone who participates in the zoom call needs to have the breakout rooms feature enabled... (it's free)
1. Log in to Zoom and then click on your profile icon in the upper right corner
2. It will take you another screens. Look on the left hand side of the screen for "Settings", under the "personal" column.
3. Once you click on settings, scroll down until you see "In Meeting (Advanced)"
4 Enable "Break out rooms" and also check the box so the host can be allowed to assign you to a breakout room
The only limitations I can find are
1 If you are a co-host, you cannot use the mobile app to call in. You will not have the ability to manage participants.
2. If you use Chrome, you can't join breakout rooms, However, you still have access to the main room, which the co hosts can rotate around.
I think we'd need a practice session for this.
