I recently had a tenant call about their key getting stuck in the lock.
I had heard NOT to use WD-40 but that was the quickest 'go-to' so I googled it...and to my surprise I found a locksmith (and others) recommending the use of WD-40.
Using it may not last as long as using 3 in 1 oil, but the 3 in 1 oil WILL cause lock to be sluggish over time!
So, if you ever need to help your key and lock operate smoothly don't hesitate to use the WD-40 that you should carry with you in your 'landlord' arsenal! Or at least make sure your handyman or tenants know they can use it for that and many other purposes.
If you have a few minutes i highly recommend going out and searching for the vast amount of uses for WD-40, some of which include removing tough stains in certain cases. You may find that you are under utilizing your can of WD-40 sitting on the shelf gathering dust!
Happy INVESTING!
