Has anyone had any experience with we buy houses bandit signs? As far as what cities are really strict and best days to put them out?

I used to do bandit signs and I would put them out Friday night and take them down Sunday night to avoid city workers taking them down as they are usually off weekends. I recently heard that City of Dallas now has people working Saturdays as well just to pickup bandit signs. Any info would be appreciated!

I did bandit signs when I first started in REI and I found that I had the most amount of success when I put them out on Saturday Night (Sunday traffic with church, shopping, etc).... Eventually, I hired people to put them out on Saturdays and Wednesdays... I put out thousands of signs from as far west as Weatherford, as far north as Denton and McKinney, as far east as Rockwall, Forney, and as far south as Waxahachie. Since I work in all of DFW, I needed bandit signs everywhere in DFW.

Honestly, putting them out on Wednesday and Saturdays yielded me many of my initial leads, however, I was initially surprised by how few leads one gets from bandit signs. I was expecting 10-20 leads per week based on how many signs I put out and I got that many calls, but I probably averaged about 1-2 SOLID leads per week having put out HUNDREDS of signs per week...

    Hope this helps!

    Hey Israel,

About 5 years ago my wife and I were putting out bandit signs at 1am on Saturday mornings. A cop saw us putting the signs out and pulled us over, and wrote us each a ticket for $600. A friend of mine said that he knew of somebody that put bandit signs out, got a call from a potential seller, went to the house and there was a code enforcement officer at the house waiting to write him a ticket. I'm not trying to discourage you, just be careful. Bandit signs work, but everything in this business will work if you stay consistent and persistent.

Good luck, let me know if I can answer any questions to help you get the ball rolling.

That's a great point about ticketing and certain cities... I've had the hardest time in Arlington. When doing bandit signs one has to factor the cost of tickets for sure.
