Good topic, Kenny. Here's my experience with Investway, etc.
I know the main guy behind Investway.com personally, and I've used the service almost exclusively since becoming a Real Estate Investor many years ago. I've pointed out various issues with the service in the past, and they've always been addressed. Investway's owner is a technical guy, and, since I am too, I've challenged him to make certain enhancements which he indeed has made. BTW, we've made virtually all of our major Real Estate Investment buying decisions based solely on Investway.com's results, and it's never steered us wrong.
Since it utilizes up-to-the-minute data from the MLS and you don't have to be a licensed agent to use it, as far as I'm concerned, it's the best of its breed. There have been competitors over the years, but, as far as I know, they've all faded away. It's not perfect, but, at this point, I'm unaware of an alternative short of NTREIS which is only available to licensed Real Estate Agents. There are certainly agents who will pull comps for you occasionally, but, if you're wanting them to pull comps as often as I do and in as many ways as I do, it will become difficult for you and the agent after a while.
