Question about LLC

    I like the Texas series statute and believe it has only one real purpose and that is to hold real estate investments. If there is a risk in the series is that it hasn't been tested in the courts but the statute is very clear and our courts have always favored the asset protection given to us through statutes. 

    I have set up more than 50 and will continue to do so. I do ask that the client visit with their insurance agent before they form them, just to make sure they can obtain proper insurance coverage. 

    Finally, asset protection never comes to just one decision, it is a combination of many strategies, with the series being one.

    I appreciate your take on this... I think that investors comfort is by investor and your information helps others make their own informed decisions... I always stress that everyone should exercise their own due diligence before making a decision especially as it relates to asset protection...
