I cannot recommend Astro Roofing enough.
When my wife and I were first-time homebuyers, we didn't know what we were doing. The home inspection turned up a roof leak over the garage and a leak by one of our three skylights, both based on interior damage. We were also missing a few of our slate shingles. The inspector gave us a ballpark estimate for repairs, the agent seconded it, everything was within our budget so be made the purchase and then called Astro Roofing to do the repairs.
The first thing Astro did was confirm that the repair over the roof had already been made, by far the most expensive of the repairs, savings us 80% of our budgeted cost. He could have easily redone the repairs and charged us, but he didn't.
The second thing he did was reseal all three skylights, not just the one that was leaking. His rationale? "The one was leaking due to age and the others would've started soon. I was already up there so I just resealed all three to save you future problems." He didn't charge us anything for the extra two.
Finally, our slate shingles are no longer in production, so he spent several hours looking for a very close match and then matching the paint and painting the shingles prior to installation. He didn't charge anything extra for the time required and the new shingles ended up being indistinguishable from the existing ones.
Needless to say, with service like this, they're A+ rated with the BBB.
My wife and I felt like we'd been seriously under-charged for the services rendered, the only time I've ever felt that way about a repairman. He had a new baby on the way and Christmas was coming up, so we sent him a Babies-R-Us gift card with his payment.
