This morning I closed the sale of our home in Arlington and my wife an I are moving to the Austin area. Our daughter in Round Rock has a special needs child and we are relocating there to help her and her husband with their 3 boys. We are purchasing a horse ranch east of Austin and will move this weekend so Saturday will be my last day as a DFW resident. I will continue my real estate business there as a Realtor/Investor/Consultant. After we get settled in there I will begin to host the Austin Real Estate Association of Investors Meetup group.

I began attending the DFWREI Club meetings in 2008 and benefited greatly from the education and networking opportunities. Robin and Greg are great guys and I wish them continued success. I met many fine people at the meetings and enjoyed doing business with several of you. May you continue to prosper and grow.

My contact information will remain the same so if you visit Austin or are considering investing there, please give me a call.

    Best regards,

    Dan Brunner

There's no question about it, Dan.  In your case, DFW's loss is Austin's gain.  You have certainly made a valuable contribution to the local Real Estate Investing community over the years, including at DFW REI Club meetings and on this Discussion Forum, and you will be missed.  This is not to say "Good Bye" though.  For now I'll just say "Bon Voyage," because I have a strong expectation that we'll meet again down the road.

    Sincerely,

    Robin

In my opinion, you should feel happy and excited. Now, you are going to a new area, with new possibilities. In real estate their is a simple equation, new neighborhood new deals more business. I definitely think that your experience would help you in the long run. My friend when relocated in new city, for publicity he gave out ads like homes for sale Georgetown ky, now instead of Georgetown you can say Austin. I wish you god would give strength to overcome all the difficulties.

Check out the investor club in your area, I think this is where one of the founders of this club Newby At Luby

is living now his name is B.D. Adkins. Truly one of the most interesting investors I have met. Best of luck, check out

the housing for the college there, the university will help in finding potential renters.
