My partner is a REALTOR; I access MLS as her assistant. This has been amenable for a year. I'm up for renewal. Somewhere in the conversation my partner let slip that she was looking to do investing and so was I.  Here's the response from the broker:

"This is a clear NTREIS violation.  If we let investors have access to the MLS, how many agents does that hurt? It is not ethical nor acceptable. "

A clear NTREIS VIOLATION?  Really?  Are the brokers that scared? Is it just an isolated misinformed individual thinking she is somehow preserving her turf? Or does she really have this concept of investors as an unethical, unacceptable lot?
