A response to my postcard says that the house in question belonged to her mother. The house is currently in probate and we can't do anything for a couple weeks. I've only done a small amount of research on probate, so if anyone could direct me to a source of information on the process, why we must wait, and what exactly we're waiting on, I'd greatly appreciate it.
