Ever buy vacant land?

I just took my FIRST motivated seller call.  So nervous I'm still shaking, but what a rush. :)  I know I'm new at this, but I believe the owner is very motivated.  In fact, he offered the possibility of buying the house in question, along with the vacant lot next door, and the home he lives in, which is on the other side of the vacant lot.  So it's very possible I'll get 2 houses from my first deal (knock on wood).

But then that leaves the question of the vacant lot.  Is this something I should even mess with?  I have absolutely no idea how to buy a vacant lot, much less what to do with it after.  Do any of you purchase land on any kind of regular basis?

Take the lot as a bonus. Anything extra you can get for free is more profit.

Lock it up in contract and bring it to Rodney at herbiethehousehunter@gmail.com or myself.
