I say our best bet is Panera Bread & Cafe on Precinct Line Road. Any takers? Thursday 6PM?  Any thoughts?

Spring Creek doesn't have wifi. (My favorite spot too!)

A MIFI from AT&T costs $50/month and accommodates 5 laptops. Pricey.

    I'm looking for
1/Someplace quiet enough for us to work, so there goes the sports bars,
2/where the staff won't throw us out after an hour,
3/Where a dozen of us can open our own laptops or crowd around their buddy's.
4/Somewhere along the highways centrally located in the metroplex so we can all get there without trouble.
and of course, WIFI, so we can all dig through the civil court and assessor records live.

Here's the draft of a plan for meeting one - jump in and mix it up. This is a Mastermind, not a lecture.

    • First, we round-robin our experiences so far -
    • what county you researched,
    • what you found,
    • any issues that came up and how you solved them,
    • how many cases you were able to screen.

We should all come away with a clearer vision of best practices.

    • Next, we dig in -
    • go to NETRONLINE.COM, pick a county and research the records.
    • Team up, brainstorm, share ideas.

I have one 3-eye goal for the evening and one method. The method is: KEEP MOVING.

1a: If Nothing Else (Minimal) - We roll through the records and get in some good practice on access and analysis.
1b: Ideally (Achievable)- We bag a case, pull out the script and call a creditor.
1c: Impossible but ya never know (Optimistic) - We bag a case, clear a creditor, send a deal to Mike.

(what's a 3-I goal, you ask?  It's a walk down a new road with signposts. Maybe you come to a fork, or a side road, they have signposts. Keep moving. Even a dead end is a good lesson on where not to go again; just keep moving, get out quick, come back and tell the mastermind. I don't stick people with binary goals, win/lose, on/off go-home-happy/go-home-sad. This isn't football or programming).
