Does anyone have any recommendations for a CPA?  I have rental property in Texas and Nebraska and need a CPA that can handle State and Federal income taxes.

    Thanks,
    Billy

    Billy,

I am a CPA and work for a local mid sized firm, and we specialize in small business owners such as yourself.

We are located in North Dallas, so chances are we are not convenient, but if you do want more info or would like to talk, just let me know!

I'm going to go out on a limb here only because I studied with these folks. Accepted wisdom says your attorney better live in your city but your cpa can live anywhere. That said, Google Tom Wheelwright and Provision. He and they are probably one of the smartest tax/asset protection cpa firms on the planet for real estate. They don't come cheap and they're probably more cost effective for folks that have been around the business for a while, but they know every angle there is to know.

Several investors and I use Jacenda Anderson (817) 885-9189.

She does bookkeeping and light taxes.

She is VERY reasonable, VERY VERY good, and handles all my businesses (several LLCs, an LP, and a INC).

This seems to be a fairly regular topic.  Are there any thoughts in making it sticky?
