  Luke 1:35,37-38 (KJV)

35  (The angel, Gabriel, speaking to Mary) ...The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.
37  For with God nothing shall be impossible.
38  And Mary said, Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her.

  The words of Mary I highlighted in v38 above are essential to the Christmas story.  Her openness in receiving and obeying the Word of God made it possible for her to give birth to the Savior of the World.  I pray that we will all follow her example this Christmas and in the coming new year in receiving and obeying his Word.  Selah...
