A few years ago I bought an old house converted into a duplex.  I would like to see the original plans to know the layout of the original house.  I'll bet someone can point me in the right direction to find the original floor plan in public records!

Along the same lines, someone is building a very large townhome duplex down the street from me.  How do I find out who owns that?

Thank you very much for direction,

    Karen

I don't know if the floor plan is available on the Internet, but the ownership of each property is.

You go to the Appraisal District web site for the county in which the property is located and search by the address.  For example, Tarrant county's web site is http://www.tad.org

    I hope this helps,

Residential plans are usually not kept in public records.  You might be able to determine who built the building and contact them.
