Direct Mail marketing

Wanted to get some opinions from this group before launching a marketing campaign.

    1) machine penned letters vs. post cards.  Would you get more leads from 1000 post cards or 350 machine penned letters?

    2) One touch campaign vs. 2 or 3 or more touch.  If you have done a multiple touch campaign, how many additional leads did you get after each additional mailing?

    Thanks for your feedback!

When I did direct mail marketing it depended on who I was marketing to.... All homes (regardless of circumstances) received the hand written custom font (I used two similar fonts in instances where there would be duplicate letters that would make it obvious that it was a font).... I usually did 1 touch unless I was targeting pre-foreclosures then I did multiple touches...

I would expect to spend a lot of time/money to get a (viable) lead via direct mail marketing....

    Thanks for the feedback Brian!

Does anyone else have any experience with Direct Mail that they can share?

    Hi Mike,

Just curious what you decided to do and how it's going?

    Hi Brian,

I decided to hold off on Direct Mail for now.  The limited feedback that I received suggested that it wasn't terribly effective.  Doesn't mean I won't try it in the future, but for now, I'm focusing on my other marketing efforts.

    Mike
