My wife and I are interested in investing in real estate in Texas and are looking to develop a network of team members to help us to improve our real estate investing knowledge and experience. May you provide recommendations of real estate agents, lawyers (specializing in real estate), home inspectors, insurance agents and bankers?

    Warm regards,

    Ryan

Hello- My name is Cindy- May I ask your experience level thus far, and if you have any rental property currently or in the past...since it seems you are new to Texas.  Do you need an atty in the area of a Title Atty?  Or a Real Estate Atty, who is there to keep you from getting into jams, or get you out if you're out of one?  Almost every investor around uses a different Title Co...and they all think there's is the best, so you should be able to get several suggestions, then you can interview them to see how they fit your type of buying scenario.  We use a Title Atty named Kim Mills with Universal Land Title of N. Texas in Hurst.  Her office number is 817-282-1995.  I have an insurance co. I like because they typically have given me the best prices/coverage- Ward Ins. (also in Hurst)- my contact is Maria...if you let her and Kim know I sent you...they will appreciate me for the referral!  That's a start.  Hope it helps.  Hope to see you at some of the Nubys meetings, as I didnt see your name on our 'roster'.  Let us know how else we can help.  Blessings- Cindy Carriger 817-581-7520

I think Ryan is the gentleman who called me from Bermuda the other day, so that might limit him somewhat from attending every meeting in person.  Isn't that right, Ryan?  Maybe some day we'll have a live video feed.

    Hi Cindy,

    Thank you for the information.

Yes, Robin is correct. Sorry for not being more specific. My wife and I are new to real estate investing and have decided to start our journey in Texas, despite living in Bermuda (approx. 640 miles off of the coast of North Carolina). Our decision to start acquiring properties in the US as opposed to Bermuda is that the average property price on the island is over $1 millions for a single dwelling unit (e.g. 3 bed /2 bath). And although the island, like most contries, is feeling the effects of the global recession we are not sure that proerty prices will fall drastically enough for rental income to cover the cost of the properties and provide a cash on cash return that we might desire.

Due to our location, we are unable to attend the Saturday sessions. However, we look forward to staying up to date by listening and watching the uploaded sessions and reading the content of the website and newletters.

    Ryan,

My wife and I are investors, own a real estate company, mortgage company and my wife, Brandy, is an attorney.  We are very experienced in rehabs, rentals and other investments.  We can help you find good properties to buy, help with the mortgage or other lending, if necessary, get you to closing and even help you find a tenant.  We have several rentals ourselves, do a few rehabs etc.  We would love to help a fellow investors and constantly come across great properties for investors.  Please feel free to call us or email and let us know what you need.  Hope to hear from you soon.  I even have some leads on an apartment and duplex complex and another 4 plex that would be great investments right now.  Call us soon.
