Bryan Dunklin

 

Bryan DunklinBryan Dunklin served on the faculty of Southern Methodist University for 23 years, where he taught real estate law and business law.  He attended SMU in Dallas, where he received his BA with honors, Juris Doctor and MBA degrees.  Bryan served as the Chairman of the 820 lawyer Real Property Section of the Dallas Bar Association. He held a Texas real estate broker’s license for more than 25 years.  Bryan is the former general counsel of a national bank, and the former president and CEO of a real estate brokerage, management, and syndication company.  He is presently in private law practice in Dallas, Texas, where he has been practicing law for over 30 years.  He is a frequent speaker on a variety of subjects involving real estate transactions, including contracts, leases, risk management, legal entities, taxation, negotiations, title insurance, options, property management, real estate litigation, and residential mortgage licensing.  He is a frequent speaker for the State Bar of Texas, the Dallas Bar Association, and numerous real estate investor associations.  In recent years, Bryan has spoken to the General Practice Institute sponsored by the Baylor School of Law, the Mortgage Lending Institute, the Texas Land Title Institute, and the State Bar of Texas Advanced Real Estate Law Course.  He has hosted webinars sponsored and produced by the State Bar of Texas.  Bryan has spoken recently on the impact of the Federal and Texas SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act and the Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act of 2010 on private lending and owner-carry financing.
